printer
The printer allows you to print documents and notes onto paper using either black and white or colour ink. Prints used to be dot-matrix, meaning the letters were made from a series of dots. Printers can be inkjet or laser. Laser printers, which are dearer to buy, are much cheaper to run and are preferable if used for high volume printing. Recently, 3D printers have been popular, especially in the woodwork industry. A 3D printer uses material such as plastic to cut and print a 3D shape that has been designed.
