ram: random-access memory
The RAM (or Random-Access Memory) is a form of data storage. It allows stored data to be accessed quikcly in a random order. The RAM works oppositely to external storage devices such as DVDs. External storage devices read and write data in the order you select, not random. It is also easy to upgrade and some computers will have an extra slot on its motherboard for you to input another RAM card.
